Kenneth Ho, E.I.T.
Assistant Project Engineer
Joining our team at the 10 year anniversary mark, Kenneth looks forward to being a part of our growing firm. A graduate of Columbia University, he joins Cuono Engineering with close to 10 years of industry experience, including forensic investigations and condition assessments to retrofit historic buildings.
Kenneth originally decided to become a structural engineer to design his own house, but has since found that the best part of his job is the human aspect of it. Behind every design choice and structural change, there's a person or a group of people with their own set of interests and priorities. It's the privilege of a structural engineer to be the bridge between that vision and reality.
His passion lies in projects that have anything to do with the restoration or adaptive reuse of existing structures. In fact, one of his favorite projects has been a full gut renovation of a NYC brownstone. It was a good introduction to building in a landmark district and learn how to balance the needs of all the parties involved. The space itself was jam-packed with all sorts of interesting design challenges including a custom staircase, a double-story glass façade, a new rear extension, and lofted areas. When not bridging industry gaps, Kenneth, a new homeowner, finds that his weekend DIY projects are the highlight of his week.
