Project Scope

This project consisted of the structural renovation of an existing building's basement and 1st floor for a new Montessori School. The project is located within an 11-story, turn-of-the-century office building in the Flat Iron District.

​

The structural system consists of cast-iron columns, steel beams, and cast concrete arches, which used the Roebling System. The new structural work consisted of creating new floor openings, infilling existing openings, as well as designing new rooftop dunnages.
