Project Scope

This project consisted of the gut renovation of a single-family home on the coast of the Long Island Sound in Rye, NY. The project consisted of structural alterations to the existing structure as well as the addition of a new wing.

 

Due to the close proximity to the Sound, the lateral system of the existing structure was updated to accommodate modern codes. The lateral system consisted of intersecting steel moment frames, wood shear walls, and masonry shear walls. Design of wood, steel concrete, masonry and light gauge materials were utilized for this project.
