Stephanie Brown, P.E.
Project Engineer
Stephanie began her career with Cuono Engineering as an intern, while studying at Manhattan College. After a brief period working at a well-known structural bridge firm in Massachusetts, she rejoined Cuono for her love of buildings. Her extensive years of design experience in the various aspects of new buildings and renovations, including rehabilitation of existing historic buildings, lends great knowledge and excellent leadership to our team of engineers.
She is a problem solver; has always loved puzzles and strategy games. According to her, that's what engineering is all about and why she chose the structural engineering path. The more complicated the problem, the more exciting it is to find a solution…and the most rewarding part of what she does is getting to see the end product.
Stephanie attended the SEI Conference in Orlando, FL where she presented the Restoration of The Tower of Victory, a historic monument at the site of Washington's Headquarters in Newburgh, NY. Although this was a great honor, her proudest professional achievement has been earning her PE license! With little kids running around, there is not much spare time for her these days but she loves to cook and bake when she can sneak it in.
One of Stephanie's Favorite Projects:
The Hanac Corona project, which was a passive house affordable housing project, is one of her favorite projects. It was the first project where she was involved with the majority of the design and development of the construction documents and was able to manage the growth of the project from the initial schematic stage all the way through to the coordination of construction.
