Structural design of new 41,000 SF, 4-story, affordable senior housing complex in Brooklyn, NY.
IMPACCT Senior Living Residences is a new 4-story, affordable senior housing complex, approximately 41,000 SF with 63 apartments, a rooftop terrace, and one basement level on the site of a former parking lot in Brooklyn. The building offers affordable senior living with 20 units designated for seniors at risk of homelessness.
The prevalent structural framing consists of hollow-core planks on masonry-bearing walls with precast lintels. The lateral system is a combination of steel moment frames and reinforced masonry shear walls.
