We are thrilled to announce that Cuono Engineering has awarded its 4th Annual STEM Scholarship to Madison Conolly, a senior at The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, New York. Noelle Hanks, Director of Marketing & Communications, had the honor of presenting Madison with the award during the school’s Graduation Liturgy on Monday, May 18th on behalf of Cuono Engineering.

Madison will be attending Fairfield University this fall, where she plans to enroll in an accelerated bachelor’s/master’s program to study Biomedical Engineering. Her passion for STEM has been shaped through coursework in Honors Chemistry and Physics, involvement in Ursuline’s Engineering Club, and hands-on experience working in a nearby pharmacy.
Madison is particularly passionate about developing inclusive medical solutions and hopes to pursue research opportunities focused on medical technologies and treatments that prioritize both innovation and accessibility.
“By pursuing a Biomedical Engineering master’s through an accelerated program, I aim to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and practical application, contributing to innovations that have meaningful, lasting impacts on individuals and communities,” Madison shared in her application.
Cuono Engineering’s STEM Scholarship was established not only as a way to give back through community outreach, but also to continue supporting diversity and representation within the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields. We believe it is important to continue empowering young women who are passionate about STEM careers and to help encourage the next generation of innovators, researchers, and industry leaders.
Each year, we are inspired by the remarkable students who apply for this scholarship, and Madison truly embodies the spirit and mission behind the award. Her dedication, ambition, and desire to create meaningful impact through STEM make her an incredibly deserving recipient.
Congratulations, Madison, on this well-deserved honor! We are excited to see all that you will accomplish as you continue your education and pursue a future in Biomedical Engineering. We also look forward to continuing this scholarship tradition for years to come and supporting more young women as they pursue careers in STEM.
