Poltrona Frau - NYC

This project consisted of a tenant fit-out of 19,000 square foot retail space for new flagship store location in the iconic Madison Belmont Building on Madison Avenue.

Cuono Engineering provided services for the design of various structural modifications to the building's lower floors which involved the design and installation of a new elevator and shaft, new stairs and infill framing for the existing abandoned stairs. The new stair to the lower level was brought over from Italy and required tight coordination so that it connected properly to the building structure. Our scope also included the design of a structure for the new 2,100 SF raised floor area at the entry level,  which is flanked by a custom floating shelf system, creating a separate sales area to showcase the company’s material library to clientele.
