From a young age, Lucas always had a passion for building and engineering. He feels that out of all the engineering disciplines, structural engineering is the most satisfying as it produces the most tangible results. He truly enjoys being able to work in a field that is in line with his personal interests but also allows him to serve the community.

While at Manhattan College, Lucas assisted professors in writing a publication entitled “Design Optimization of Building Structures Using a Metamodeling Method”. He was then given the opportunity to present their publication at the 3rd International Conference on Civil, Structural, and Transportation Engineering (ICCSTE) in Niagara Falls, Canada.

A former Cuono intern, Lucas has rejoined the team sharing his years of high-rise design and construction experience while in the New York City area.  Lucas' experiences range from construction inspections and material testing to the structural design of new buildings and the renovation of existing ones. His expertise extends to a wide variety of structure types ranging from high-end residential homes to concrete high-rises.  Most notably, he was on the design team for Site D at Greenpoint Landing in Brooklyn which won the 2021 Engineer's Choice Award in SEAoNY's Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards.   

In the warmer months, you might find Lucas outdoors enjoying some hiking, golfing, or kayaking. In the colder months, you can look to the mountains where he'll be snowboarding.
