Steel-to-steel connections and design of structural framing of stairs and railings for new apartment building in Yonkers, NY.
Regency on the Hudson, a seven-story apartment building located on 56 Prospect Street transforms formerly vacant lots in Yonkers into 126 units of affordable and market-rate river-view housing. This $32.6 million includes 90 studios, 18 one-bedroom apartments, and 18 two-bedroom apartments, with a rooftop terrace overlooking the scenic views of the Hudson River.
Cuono Engineering was contracted to provide steel-to-steel connection designs and steel stair designs along with the two-line pipe railing designs at the parking garage and transfer slab. We provided conceptual sections, drafted connection details, and provided erection drawing markups for miscellaneous components of 5 separate stairs. We also provided signed and sealed calculations as the Specialty Engineer designated for connection design of the various steel-to-steel connections at one of the stair shafts.
